Drunken Tiger's second album, "The Great Rebirth" (위대한 탄생), was released on April 23, 2000. The album introduced new members to the group, including DJ Jhig, Micki Eyes, and Roscoe Umali. It was a significant release that helped establish Drunken Tiger as the first commercially successful true hip-hop group in Korea. The album reached number 3 on the music charts and sold over 130,000 copies.
Between the release of their first album, "Year of the Tiger," and "The Great Rebirth," the Korean hip-hop scene experienced rapid growth. Drunken Tiger expanded on their established sound, creating a more musically diverse album, while still exhibiting some of the growing pains of a relatively new genre. The album also solidified Drunken Tiger's connection with "The Movement," a hip-hop crew consisting of Drunken Tiger, CB Mass, and Uptown's Tasha Reid.
